Styles Plainview Angus was started by Lowell and Myrtle Styles in the late 1940s and they started raising commercial Angus cattle. Their son Bob started showing purebred registered heifers in the 1950s. Lowell and Myrtle are both deceased now. In 2009 the name of the ranch was changed to Styles Angus Inc.
After Bob and his wife Lucy married they purchased a large number of Angus cows to expand the operation. In 1978 we hosted our 1st Production Sale at our farm and look forward to “The Sale” every year. We are proud of our family business and today Bob, Chris, Erica and daughters Madison and Sawyer share in the day-to day business of running the ranch and farm operation. Lucy passed in the fall of 2013. Chris and family are involved in the showing of our cattle at shows throughout the United States including the National Western Stock Show in Denver, National Junior Angus Show, American Royal, as well as the NAILE. He also has been selected to judge cattle shows across the United States.
We sell most of our bulls to commercial breeders as well as bulls and heifers to registered herds across the nation. We have had several bulls and heifers that have gone on to do winning in the showring as well as becoming intricate additions to their herds. We AI to some of the top bulls in the breed and to some of our own top bulls we have raised to further our program for our customers.
Our annual production sale is always held the second Tuesday each March.
